I am a London-based artist working across costume, sculpture, performance and writing. Drawn to reimagining everyday materials and striving to use sustainable material alternatives. I enjoy testing the boundaries between humans and other animals, through costume, performed transformations and language slippages. My practice welcomes contamination and the blurring of boundaries between one thing to the next. I recognise the impossibility of escaping our own skin, but I want to question how far we can step into and imagine embodying another being. I use the impossibilities I encounter as a way of thinking about how we define other beings and ourselves.
Alongside my practice, I am a children’s author and creative workshop leader, passionate about empowering young minds to turn their concerns into creativity and imaginative play. In 2021 I wrote ‘Goliath the Golden Toad,’ which encourages children to use their voice and creativity to help protect endangered species. So far, I have shared the story with over 200 children in creative workshops.
Please get in touch with any projects, big or small, I'd love to hear from you!
